Andrew Boyle

Astronomy Graduate Student at the University of North Carolina

About me

Hi! My name is Andrew Boyle. I am currently a graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill working with Dr. Andrew Mann.

My main research revolves around measuring how fast stars spin. Their rotation rates can teach us about the formation and evolution of young groups of stars, help us learn about the physics in their interiors, and provide ages that help us constrain how and when planets form.

Outside of work, I love trail running, cooking, and have recently gotten into birdwatching. Feel free to email me about research or running!
